One fine evening while walking through a beach, I was good enough to prognosticate the girl from the back as one of my friend and was elated for the hope to see her after a long time, Yes it was the same hair and the attire, the way of raiment, the walking style and the slim-trim body ...
I galloped towards that girl from behind to meet her.
I ran through sands lying on the beach and in the mean time dashed the idol which a juvenile was trying to make up with the help of beach sands.
'Umm!' I paused a while to say him sorry as he was baffled and furious about it, but it did not stopped my rejuvenation act.
I scampered again and reached the place where the girl was standing with her friends whom I was unable to recognize.
Again hesitatingly and after recollecting a lot of valour, I said finally,
“Excuse Me.... Ahh.. ... Hmm.........”.
The girl turned back and said “Yes!” with an exclamation on her face.
Her friends were sceptical to see me as I was a stranger for them.
Here, I went speechless as she was none whom I predicted, my inner voice said – Wake Up! She is not the one.
I was half in sea and half on land as the water from the sea kept touching my feet, as the wave strikes.
I replied her now contritely “I am sorry, I was looking for someone else, I assumed. She is same like you. I am again very sorry for disturbing you.”
She repartee with calmness “Its okay, no problem. Carry on.” Her friends hinted themselves and to her, to head back home by staring at the new fast track watch which she was wearing. Also the clouds caveat to rain.
I was astounded; could not believe and was still watching them as they pass on towards the main road.
I was woken up by a tiny crab that came with one of the strides of the sea waves which passed on my feet and ended the quandary.
Somebody once told me world is small and one or the other day you will meet some around. Today I realised ‘The world is not so small either!’
As I was lost in the thoughts, facing towards the endlessly looking sea, my friend was lucky to spot me and asked me to get back home soon as the cloud started pouring out sprinkles.
